Whitest Kids U Know star Trevor Moore’s death ruled accident

More than four months after sketch comedy group the Whitest Kids U’ Know’s co-founder Trevor Moore died suddenly at the age of 41, his cause of death has been ruled an accident.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s report, Moore’s Aug. 7 death occurred after he fell two stories from a balcony in the backyard of his LA home. He died of blunt force head trauma, Deadline reported

At the time of his death, Moore’s blood-alcohol level was significantly over the legal limit. Security camera footage viewed by writers of the report showed Moore leave his home and “jump over the railing.”

The death, the coroner’s report specifically notes, was not a suicide.

In addition to starring in the New York-based WKUK troupe, Moore also co-created and executive produced the Disney comedy series “Just Roll With It,” wrote and directed the Disney XD series “Walk the Prank” and was the creator and host of Comedy Central’s “The Trevor Moore Show.”

The comic, born in New Jersey, reportedly got his start in the entertainment industry at age 12, when he became the world’s youngest published cartoonist, a 1995 feature in the Virginian-Pilot said.

“Such a warped mind at such a young age! Loved the book!” “Weird” Al Yankovic reportedly said of Moore’s “Scraps.”

When he was 16, Moore began writing weekly cartoons for newspapers in Virginia, and then started producing a weekly sketch-comedy program for his local TV station, according to Deadspin.

“We are devastated by the loss of my husband, best friend and the father of our son. He was known as a writer and comedian to millions, and yet to us he was simply the center of our whole world,” begins a statement issued by Moore’s manager on behalf of his wife and family shortly after his death. “This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you please respect our privacy during this time of grieving.”
