I’m Cackling at This Video of Kaavia James Wearing Gabrielle Union’s Wig

I love watching wig content, whether it’s a hairstyling tutorial, wig construction video, or just a picture of a bomb-ass unit. But my favorite type of wig video or photo is one where a baby is wearing a wig because they are so cute and hilarious. Gabrielle Union and her adorable daughter Kaavia James Union Wade fed my soul on January 20 when the actor posted a video of the toddler in one of her wigs

In the video, the duo is sitting at a table while Kaavia plays with her iPad as her mother Union sips on a drink and pretends to be someone else. Union launches into a fictional story about the duo and says, “Let me tell you about the time I was in Belgium,” with an exaggerated accent. She’s dressed in a black long-sleeve top with her crimped hair slicked into a half-up, half-down style. A few baby hairs are swooped along her hairline as well. She continues to share the brief tale of when she and Lattice aka Kaavia were at a bar in the foreign country sipping on Aperol spritzes.

Meanwhile, Kaavia is watching her device, mostly oblivious to her mother’s tall tale. She looks like such a little cutie in the wig full of volume and large curls. Of course, this unit isn’t actually glued to her head so it’s barely hanging on to her itty bitty head. She somewhat struggles to push the hair out of her face and flips it behind her at one point.

Gabrielle Union and Kaavia interacting is always a delight to observe. The toddler has always been an expressive and funny little girl, so whenever her parents share videos on Instagram you’re sure to laugh or squeal in delight.  The mother-daughter duo always keeps us entertained with their video content whether they are doing skits like these or simply existing as themselves. Hopefully, they give us a few more videos with Kaavia in wigs soon to keep us laughing.
